Getting back on the course after a long winter, I was sure it would take a while for me to warm up. It did, about three holes, and I was back golfing just like I did at the end of last season. In some aspects, I was golfing even better. Really, it was my short game that improved, putting to be exact. I was sinking 20 foot putts right and left.

What was I doing differently? I was controlling the putt. Every move was deliberate and controlled. A very slow backswing with the putter, and slow controlled stroke through the ball, almost like there was resistance and I had to push through it. My putt stayed on line and the distance was exact.

Since that was working for me, I applied the same concept with my driver. My slice disappeared. I had tried just about everything to get rid of that slice. I couldn’t believe that was all it took to get rid of it - just control my swing! I’m going back out to the course again today. It might have been a fluke, but I think I figured out a way to drop ten strokes off my game!
