As if being one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball history isn’t enough, Roger Clemens is apparently none too shabby with a golf club in his hand, as well. On Saturday, the ‘Rocket’ nailed a hole-in-one on the 180-yard long par-3 second hole at the Classic Course at Northstar to propel his team to the championship at the celebrity team portion of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic in Palm Desert, Ca.

Jesper Parnevik was the team’s pro golfer, along with actor Matthew McConaughey and Mike Eruzione (captain on of the 1980 Olympic Gold Medal-winning U.S. hockey team). Parnevik was hot, shooting a 10-under 62 on the Classic Course. The team shot a sizzling 65 under for the 4-day event.

A total of thirteen celebrity teams competed in the annual event, playing a best-ball format. Always a big crowd pleaser, this year’s event was no exception.
