With so many golfers on our holiday shopping list, I began searching for gifts that would please and appeal to a majority of them, regardless of their sex, age, or playing level. In the past, I’ve wrapped dozens of boxes of golf balls and shirts; but I wanted something not so predictable and humdrum. After spending hours searching websites and visiting golf stores, I’ve come up with some different ideas for gift-giving this year and thought I’d share them with you.

A movie with a golf theme. Some good options are Tin Cup, Caddyshack, Dead Solid Perfect, The Legend of Bagger Vance, Bobby Jones - Stroke of Genius, and Happy Gilmore.

A hardback golf-related book. Any bookstore can provide a variety of books on courses, players, tours, or improving your golf game that would be excellent gifts.

A gift certificate for a round of golf at a local course or for virtual reality play would be truly enjoyed by anyone who loves the game.

How about a subscription to a golf magazine, or membership to an organization, such as the PGA Tour Partners Club, which also includes discounts, free gifts, and a bi-monthly magazine full of tips and news.

A golf theme picture frame personalized with a picture of the golfer always makes a nice gift!

I’m sure that any of the ideas above would please the golfers on my list. I know they’d make me happy!
