Ocean Ridge Plantation Golf Courses among the “Top 50 Courses of Myrtle Beach”
Courses October 19th, 2005All three golf courses at Ocean Ridge Plantation are on Golf Digest’s first-ever ranking of the “Top 50 Courses of Myrtle Beach.” Tiger’s Eye was ranked number 3; Panther’s Run was number 39; and Lion’s Paw came in at number 49. The rankings appear in the November issue of Golf Digest, which also stated that Ocean Ridge’s Tiger’s Eye course was part of the “Top Shelf” experience in the Myrtle Beach market.
Philippe Bureau, Director of Golf at Ocean Ridge, added some of his own comments about the placements:
“It is very gratifying to have Golf Digest recognize that all three of Ocean Ridge’s courses are among the best on the Grand Strand. They have consistently drawn great reviews since they opened, and we’re proud that so many golfers list them among their favorites — not just in Myrtle Beach, but overall.”
Golf Digest has the full article, which is appearing in their November issue, posted on their website.

I usually abide by the golden rule of Myrtle Beach golf - don’t play anywhere that has an animal in the name (and that includes John Daly’s Wicked Stick). Try Caledonia, True Blue, The Dunes, Grand Dunes and The Wizard for starters, but with 120 courses, there is plenty of good inexpensive golf.
