I wrote a post last Thursday about Ryan Moore going for pro at the Disney Funai Classic. This became a reality over the weekend. He played well in each of the four rounds:

  • Round 1: 64
  • Round 2: 71
  • Round 3: 67
  • Round 4: 68

By finishing the last round 4-under with a 68, Moore tied Heath Slocum for thirteenth place. The prize was a cool $88,000 which landed him at 113th place on the PGA Tour money list.

As I mentioned in the previous post, Moore has now become the first player in nine years to go pro straight out of college without qualifying school.
